What do YOU do with small change?
I’m talking about coins of 1, 2 and 5 euro cents. Whenever you pay with cash, they just keep on piling up. Do you hang on to them, hoping they will come in handy when buying bread from a vending machine? Mind you, even those refuse the smaller coins.
Most likely you are like me and Sofie and keep them in a piggy bank, a box or a “decorative” bottle, assured that one day you will find a good use for them.
Well, I’m here to tell you that day has come! We found the PERFECT use for them, read on!
Instead of spending big bucks on movies, games, new phones or other things we don’t really need, we decided to try something else this Black Friday weekend. We went out shopping for original items that were made in a sustainable way AND support people who need help. In short: we visited the local Oxfam Gift Fair. Here’s a summary of what we bought… and what Oxfam intends to do with our contribution.
I owe Rob one for his valuable advice on getting DNA unlimited prepaid sim during my stay in Finland. 7,90 euros for 7 days of ultra fast 4G mobile internet! Unlimited! How cool is that! Having internet in the palm of your hands makes traveling so much more efficient and agreeable. Hear me out…
There we have it. It’s been two full weeks since my last post. I promised myself this wouldn’t happen, yet it did. The most important things when starting a blog is making sure there is new content. I failed to find the time. Yes, I have some valid excuses: I was sick for a whole week. Damn you, Brie cheese! I’ll never eat you again! (Shakes fist at the universe). The week after that we went camping for a few days with my family and my adorable godchild Magali.
Although they are both worthy excuses, they are still only that: excuses. If we want to make this blog work, as with everything in life, we will have to find solutions, not excuses.
