Once upon a time there was a shy kid with only a handful of good friends. After a particularly tough day at school he slipped the new Hitbox album into his Philips Discman. Listening to music always cheered him up. Sitting somewhere between Def Dames Dope and Laura Pausini was Enigma’s Return to Innocence.
The native chants were intriguing but the lyrics left him speechless…
Some of you may remember Return to Innocence as a forgotten gem of the nineties. Some of you may know Enigma from their early albums. Then again, most of you probably never heard of it… Whatever may be, I invite you to enjoy this unique video, celebrating life itself.

Not long after our trip to Peru, I stumbled upon music by Xavier Rudd. His music, lyrics and personality immediately struck a chord with me. Xavier is not only a unique Australian singer-songwriter but also an activist. Fun fact for the ladies: in 2008 PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) named him sexiest Australian male vegetarian.
Rudd’s music videos are a tribute to traveling, humanity and nature. His latest album, Nanna, was recorded with the band The United Nations, but he can be an amazing one-man band of his own. I’ll definitely post more of him in the coming weeks and months. He has a diverse repertoire so I never get tired of him. For now, let’s start with one of his most upbeat and accessible song: Come People.
