My friend Katja threw a rockabilly photoshoot to celebrate her 40th birthday. She invited her friends and asked me to come along to take some pictures of my own. Vintage clothing, a classic car and a unique shooting location! What’s not to like?
Ben Graus from PhotoGraus was very kind for letting me tag along and shoot some “behind the scenes” or B-roll footage. What an excellent way to practice my photographing (and editing) skills. As a backdrop for this unforgettable shoot Ben chose Doel: an abandoned town close to a nuclear power plant in Antwerp.
Thanks Ben, I’m sure we’ll see each other soon for that workshop on flash photography!
And of course thanks, Katja (and friends), for inviting me to this fun-packed shoot and for letting me use these photos on my blog! 🙂
It was exhausting but I had a blast!

Anthony Morganti teaches Lightroom
A rockabilly-themed shoot gives me the chance to go over the top with Lightroom, my favorite photo editing software. I’m very happy with how it all came out… All techniques I used to edit these photos I picked up from the amazing Anthony Morganti. If you’re interested in learning a thing or two about Lightroom, you should definitely check out his YouTube channel.
