Alone on Linnansaari island (488 views)
Cruising the Finnish roads near Savonlinna, my mind wandered off to the adventure that lay ahead. I felt excited and intimidated at the same time. From the moment I received Pascal and Martta’s wedding invitation, I pictured myself hiking in one of Finland’s National Parks. Just me and my camera. A few years ago I would have dismissed it as unrealistic or too dangerous to attempt. Now, after starting Nomoremovies, I decided to let go of my uncertainties and just went for it.
Where’s the love in 2016 (211 views)
Just the other day Time magazine wrote a piece on how we are losing the internet to the culture of hate. Meanwhile, the mainstream media and internet bombard us with images and stories on how bad the economy is going and how ISIS is threatening our way of life… while in fact Europe has never been safer! Why are we all so bitter and angry lately? Are our lives really that bad? Why is it so difficult to be happy and embrace people that are a bit different from us? Where is the love?
Apparently the Black Eyed Peas agreed with me and decided to re-record their 2003 single “Where is the love”. They did it not to cash in but because they feel the world needs to hear this song again. I cannot agree more. Here’s why…
A lovely stray dog called Lily (156 views)
Sofie’s love for dogs led us to “SOS Stray Dogs” in Turkey, an amazing non-profit organization ran by two passionate Belgian women. This is the story of how we decided to take care of a gorgeous stray dog called Lily, while she was waiting for a foster home. A story with a happy ending!
Pascal got married! (152 views)
After having taken in some of the beautiful landscapes on the way to Savonlinna, it’s time to start writing again. Here’s a summary of what went down the day of the wedding… A rousing tale of rock churches, party trams, bingo cards, candy bars and speeches on David Hasselhoff.
Halfway there (119 views)
This year I got 35 candles on my cake. It hit me harder than I expected:
I’m halfway there…
When you’re young, you never consider how you are spending your time.
Will the second half of my life consist of more of the same?
Or will I give it a shot to make it more meaningful?

#Nomoremoviesblog on Instagram (16 views)
In essence I’m a dreamer who finds joy in capturing beautiful moments. Our magnificent world never seizes to amaze… The past few weeks I have been posting my favorite #latergrams on Instagram. I hope you enjoy viewing my snapshots as much as I enjoyed making them.
Flea Markets – True stories (16 views)
What I enjoy most about flea markets is seeing the proverb “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure” come to life. No matter how useless something seems to you, there’s always someone looking for exactly that! Let me share a few true stories of our last trips to the flea market.
And last but not least…
Here’s one of my personal early favorites that can use some additional reads 😉
Strike & Stroll (32 views)
She turns to her screen, obviously relieved I don’t take it out on her. Her face frowns when she says:
“Your next train will leave in an hour, I am so sorry sir.”
I thank her anyway and leave the train station. The busy roundabout lies before me. Cars humming about, picking up and dropping off people. At rush hour the “kiss & ride” looks more like a “curse & ride” to me. How many times have I been here before? Waiting for the train home, not knowing when it will come. If it would come at all. At least it’s not freezing or raining this time. What to do now?
